The Dyson Hot fan heater is the fastest to heat the whole room evenly.
Most conventional fan heaters can’t heat a whole room quickly because they use spinning blades powered by inefficient motors to distribute the air.
The Dyson Hot fan heater doesn’t have blades. Instead it uses Air Multiplier technology to amplify surrounding air six times and project heat further. The machine oscillates smoothly to distribute heat across the whole room.
Because there are no blades or visible heating elements there’s no need for a safety grille. You can select your target temperature to the degree and the machine’s intelligent thermostat keeps it there. The machine will cut-out automatically if tipped over.

The mixed flow impeller combines the technologies used in turbochargers and jet engines to generate powerful airflow, which is accelerated through an annular aperture. I just bought the Dyson AM04. I tried to research this product before buying, but could find no information about specifications. Even the Wattage was a mystery at first. Dyson themselves could/would not provide any useful info!
So I was compelled to write this review to help others decide whether to buy it or not.
So...
It does heat a room evenly but only a small, well insulated room. 16-20m2 max.
In very cold weather it will struggle to reach room temperature (21 C) and probably won't...
The thermostat is not `intelligent' and works like on any other heater, IE the heater will go on and off every few minutes according to setting. This means that the temperature in the room eventually goes down and you have to put the heater back on `full blast'.
It is as energy efficient (or not) as any fan heater, though does heat the space quicker and more evenly so maybe a little saving there...
It is only 2kw so will not do the job of a more powerful heater despite the 'Air Multiplier Technology'.
It is very noisy so not suitable for a bedroom.
It does look good and well designed...
It is not, in my opinion, worth the huge price tag. If you are looking to heat a large space this is definitely not for you. If you need to heat a small space and have money to burn-go for it.
Disappointed, I think is the word I would use for this. I bought it to help heat a large conservatory after reading lots of 5 star reviews saying it is the quickest way to heat a room. Problem is, it doesn't say what size room. My conservatory is heated by an oil filled radiator that gets the room to about 16 degrees in the winter in the early hours of the morning. Turning the Dyson on with the oil filled rad, I thought, would heat the room up fast. But, after 2 hours, it had only raised the temperature by 3 degrees C, still too cold to sit in, and this is with the patio door open into the house. The conservatory gets to this temperature anyway with the door open.
Looks like I will be getting a new gas bottle for my LPG heater, that warms the room up in no time.
Sorry Dyson, it just doesn't work for me. If it was 1/3rd the price it would still be too dear. Looks nice though!
